Acting Economy Minister Roseta Hajdari has acknowledged that the economy will be the sector that will most suffer from new measures against COVID-19, but it says that new measures are necessary for citizens' lives.
During a media conference, she said the new rigorous measures presented tonight by the Ministry of Health, which take effect from April 15th, are inevitable.
It is inevitable that these measures will not be taken in order to preserve the lives of citizens, with the aim of maintaining the economy. The sooner these measures are taken is better for life and the economy, because if these measures are not to be taken or taken later, we will have economic losses, but first we will have much greater losses even to be citizens'. It is important to have common understanding with citizens and businesses because of the pandemic and to remove the risks due to pandemic”, Hajdari said.
It has called for consensus from businesses and citizens regarding the new measures, under which citizens will have the right only once a day to go to town for an hour and a half, until far away on May 4th.
