Russia's Defence Ministry said it will return these soldiers to their bases, where they will remain in quarantine for two weeks. This minister did not announce whether any of the soldiers were confirmed as infected with coronary, writes the Guardian”.
The announcement came days after Russian President Vladimir Putin decided on extending the Victory Day note, traditional ceremonies held annually on May 9th. This date is marked by the parade of thousands of soldiers at Moscow's Red Square and presents the victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.
Several units and military academys in Russia have already been affected by coronarys. Last week, the Defence Ministry confirmed that dozens of screws and instructors from the naval academy “Nachhimov” have been infected with the new virus. However, none of the infected had participated in the exercises of thousands of soldiers who were quarantined.
Earlier this month, images of thousands of soldiers standing very close to each other were published on the Internet. The defence ministry later confirmed that it held parade exercises on April 1st.
