The Kosovo Democratic League General Council has overwhelmingly approved Avdullah Hoti's candidacy for Kosovo Prime Minister. Z. The mayor and at the same time chairman of the Gjilan municipality, Lutfi Haziri, shows there have been only two votes against and a small number of abstentions while the pro have voted over 115 members.
Regarding the name selected for prime minister, Haziri said it is a natural choice after Mr. Hot was a deputy. The first prime minister nominated by the LDK in the government “Kurti”. Although Haziri's own name was coveted, he says he has refused to be a candidate in government and in the past coalition.
While for the possibility of running Vjosa Osmani, who was the party's main figure at the polls, Haziri said that, it is the government that has lost confidence and not the head of the Assembly, stressing that Osman would follow up on his task. Regarding the possibility of voting the new government this weekend, the head of the Gjilan municipality described this almost impossible because negotiations still continue.
The efforts for a new majority government are not easy, I don't see the possibility of reaching a new majority very soon and voting. There are talks with small parliamentary groups. The LDK has set several program priorities, for the profile of ministers and government procedures. It won't be easy, they should have the signature of 61 deputies”, he said of Euronews.al.
Regarding the controversy that the new government may be in violation of the Constitution, Mr. Haziri, responding to Euronews Albania journalist Bruna Cifligu, said that if the president or Vetevendosje submits the case to the Constitutional Court, then the LDK will wait until the verdict is issued. “According to my beliefs there is no violation of the Constitution. There is no case in court without happening without reason. If Vetevendosje or the president of the Republic sends the mandate to the Constitutional Court, we expect”, said Zv. LDK chairman.
