Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Kadri Veselin has returned the letter to Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who recently asked to meet him to discuss dialogue, the governing programme, challenges in democratic statehood, socio-economic development. In the letter Wessel returned to Albin Kurt on March 3rd, Wessel was quoted as saying that he welcomed him to meet him at the headquarters of the Democratic Party of Kosovo to discuss empowering Kosovo's position in front of Serbia, but that Wessel has expressed concerns to Albin Kurt about his anti-American positions.
“Explains my concern with the lack of your clear and unstable positions in front of Serbia and confrontational courses with our strategic ally, the United States of America”, said among other things in PDK leader Kadri Veseli's letter to Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
Further in this letter to Wessel, it is said that Kosovo, not only today but also earlier, has had and needs to agree on the political spectrum, especially on issues of national importance.
But inviting to a consultative meeting and making unilateral decisions on the same day does not help the need for national consensus on the topics that you have invited me to the meeting. Once again, for the sake of transparency, even for the sake of respecting institutional hierarchy, the issues you've asked for, such as the governing programme, challenges in democratic statehood, socioeconomic development, I consider they have the place for debate in the Republic of Kosovo's Assembly. On other topics, such as foreign policy and how to strengthen Kosovo in front of Serbia, co-operation and national consensus are necessary. I'm ready at any time to wait at the headquarters of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, whenever you want to meet. But also, I, in any initiative I take in the interest of the country, will address and come to meet you as prime minister in the Government of the Republic of Kosovo”, says Wessel's letter.
