During today, Minister of Internal Affairs and Public Administration Agim Veliu has held telephone conversations with Kosovo KFOR Commander Genarl Maj Michele Riesi, where they discussed the situation created in the country following confirmations of the first cases affected by the coronary.
According to MPBAP's report, KFOR Commander Major General Michele Reese has announced that KFOR has taken all necessary measures to prevent the spread of this virus to soldiers and personnel and that they are carefully following the situation.
Veliu thanked the KFOR commander for the measures he has taken by respecting the decisions of Kosovo institutions for the preventive measures of COVID 19.
The two conversationors agreed that Kosovo security institutions will co-ordinate activities with KFOR troops in Kosovo to manage the situation created.
KFOR commander also expressed readiness that KFOR troops are available and willing to come to the aid of the people of Kosovo.
According to MPBAP, Veliu and KFOR commander agreed to maintain continued contacts and co-operate closely the following days in order to co-ordinate efforts to manage the situation and assist Kosovo institutions.
