President Thaci said the US role remains irreplaceable in efforts to achieve lasting peace in the Western Balkans and added that Kosovo is free and independent, but the story of Kosovo's success will be closed when the country is integrated into NATO and the EU.
Similarly, President Thaci warned that the EU is delaying with Kosovo and with the entire Western Balkans region, and this is hurting confidence in EU institutions and is reducing the EU's power to influence the region.
The final agreement on peace between Kosovo and Serbia is key to peace, stability, economic development and the Euro-Atlantic perspective of Kosovo and the entire region”, said President Thaci.
Brookings Institute is among the most influential think-tanks in the United States, while negotiations with experts from this institute influence recommendations for decision making and politics in Washington.
