Sahin: Albin Kurt is lacking courage. I don't know what to do with the tax.

The Kosovo Alliance of Business still does not have a clear position on the partial removal of the tax on goods originating from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. GDP Chairman Agim Sahini in an interview for Online Economy has indicated that they cannot come up with a stance because even coalition partners have not agreed on the issue.
Sahin has also commented on the participation of several producers at the extraordinary conference Thursday of Prime Minister Kurti, saying some of them were also unknown.
Some individual businesses that some have been unknown and some known have taken a stand to lift the tax and unfortunately that some of them are called to a name that protects producers. We still can't react because there's no decision. But given the fact that Ambassador Green last night has reacted that he does not accept one from the coalition partner who does not accept such a thing because this is half-witted to flee responsibility”, he says.
But Sahin advocates the position the tax has had positive effects and says that an economic study must be made before leaving, but also a harmonisation of attitudes with international partners.
“Takska has fortunately produced positive effects, now when the tax has to be removed I think that a deep political economic study with local and international partners is needed again by harmonising attitudes and seeing what are the benefits of Kosovo in the first order as a state, and then as an economy”.
The production of Serbian products will be a major endover for the reason that they will subsidise prices and our poor citizens will not be able and consume different products and that in the short term, we will have much more import from Serbia than we have in the past”, he said.
Sahin says he remains surprised at the change in Kurt's attitudes, while adding that he is not having the courage either to remove the tax or to keep it.
We have expected that the Kurti government will change its position from what was said earlier and that it was an expected decision because we have days he doesn't even have the power to keep the tax, and now he doesn't have the power to take the tax down completely. This is something to worry about public opinion because he has promised the country much that he will do for the economy, saying that the tax will never be lifted but rather will be strong reciprocity in all fields, but we saw that he is not now sticking to his promises”, he concluded.
