Albin Kurti's election, Kosovo prime minister, congratulated the ambassadors of the QUINT countries -- President Hashim Thaci and former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci welcomed today's vote in the Kosovo parliament for the country's new government.

“Wishing the new cabinet government, I invite them to start early work on fulfilling promises given to citizens, offset lost days and continuing institutional commitment to improving the lives of our citizens. The Republic of Kosovo has numerous challenges ahead that can be overcome only by work, commitment, state responsibility and accountability”, President Thaci wrote.

Former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj wrote that “from today Kosovo has entered a new phase with the establishment of institutions. The new government vote on the part of the Kosovo Parliament is good news for all our citizens. I hope that this political establishment will be able to further the important processes for the country. In these days, I am standing for an official visit to the United States, an agenda that has been set up long ago and thus acceptance of the mandate will formally be made on the part of the first Deputy Prime Minister. Behgjet Pacolli, which I have already authorized”, he wrote.

US Ambassador to Pristina Philip Costett praised Kosovo for forming the government.

“Mezi I expect to work with all Kosovo institutions, other parties and concerned civil society parties to strengthen justice and progress and to help Kosovo establish peaceful relations with its neighbours”, he wrote on social networks

British Ambassador Nicholas Abbott praised the new government and Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

There is a difficult road ahead for the incoming administration and urgent issues should be addressed, including the 2020 state budget, blocked administrative decisions and rule of law. On 6 October, Kosovo citizens voted for change. The new government should show courage and creativity in implementing the wishes of the electorate and the expectations of all citizens”, he wrote.

Germany's embassy in Kosovo has congratulated the country's new government, at the helm with Albin Kurti.

In a statement on its Facebook page, this embassy says that, as a long-lived partner of Kosovo institutions, it is looking forward to continuing co-operation, support for the rule of law in Kosovo and the country's economic development.

European Union Office chief Natalia Apostolova has congratulated on the election of Kosovo's new government.

Through a Twitter post, Apostolova says he is eager to work with Prime Minister Albin Kurti and all members of the Government for the joint European agenda.

Even the Organisation for Security and Co-operation mission in Europe praised Kosovo's new government.

Other opposition leaders have not yet congratulated the creation of the new government, while during the day in the Assembly, have voiced a host of criticism of Kurti.
