The Drama of Shame

We're on New Year's Eve, and tonight, the glasses are rising and jumping more than ever. On this night, many families have joy and happiness, but in many others there may be suffering, sorrow, despair... That is how life is because we are not always able to determine our events and fates. In [...]
Unfortunately, this damn destiny continues to follow us today. Except now insult and discrimination against Kosovo and Albanians in general is done in modern ways. And, however there is an effort to mask such a thing, not equal treatment with peoples and other countries in the region in terms of integration processes in Euro-Atlantic structures, is clear indication that Kosovo continues to be despised and deceived. Despite this attitude, however, we have never given up and will not give up today.
We, the Kosovo Albanians, have been through a lot because for centuries we were not free. Freedom finally came for us. We all know she didn't come here by herself. The freedom we enjoy has a name, and its price was too high. Unfortunately, this price is continuing to rise today and we do not know when it will end. The Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK) is a beautiful name and acronym of freedom itself. This is our highest national and state value. And surprisingly, for twenty years, the KLA continues to be brutally hit by dozens of local and international courts. Such persecution is done by various reasonings and supposedly in the name of righteousness. In fact, in all these present - day persecutions against KLA, we've seen everything but justice.
This cycle of persecution, its peak reached this year at the moment the charges were confirmed and key founders of the KLA and the state of Kosovo arrested. This cunning, destructive blow against KLA, against our freedom and state, unfortunately, was done in the name of justice. On the other hand, we are all witnesses that this whole process, from the very beginning to the point where we are today, is fraud and nothing else. So it's all about cheating, and the epilogue doesn't look like it's different. A Drama of Shame and Conception The KLA and Kosovo began with claims by a report on the alleged trafficking of human organs. Enough such false claims to build an even greater lie against KLA and Kosovo.
Thus, using fraud, temptation, and wickedness, they make miserable efforts to kill the glorious KLA legacy. But to become such a thing, our very freedom must be undone. The NLA and freedom are one and inseparable. Therefore, no matter how we feel tonight, whether we are joyful, upset, or excited, we must find strength to celebrate and remember our difficult journey to freedom. So let us drink the first cup in respect, honor, and reminders for all who gave their lives for freedom.
For twenty-one years, KLA soldiers continue to be persecuted, arrested, and imprisoned. Paradoxically and painfully just to think about it and let it go. Tonight, many freedom soldiers are behind bars and unjustly deprived of embracing children, parents and their friends. To make this drama even more tragic, the citizens and founders of the KLA are in prison away from their homeland and unable to breathe Kosovo's air. This drama of shame has nothing to do with justice. In fact, this major fraud is responsible for an unprecedented injustice at the expense of Kosovo.
Freedom has a name, and our history will not be rewritten by any court pen and hundreds of millions of euros spent on meaningless purpose. NATO and the international community helped win freedom by bombing the military targets of Milosevic's genocide regime. Do our international friends now regret their help with Kosovo freedom? What is the motive that moves our allies to place KLA and Kosovo at the dock of the accused again? Their answers that all of this is being done in the name of righteousness are untrue. Because justice in Kosovo will only happen when responsible for thousands of murders, hundreds of massacres and rapes against Albanians are brought to justice.
Injustice and deception will one day end. Those who are part of this fraud, those who rub their hands and rejoiced at the imprisonment of each KLA warrior, will one day feel ashamed. Our license is not the result of a joint criminal enterprise, but the result of a joint liberation enterprise. This is the truth of our history that can't be changed or rewritten.
In the end, I would like this night's last glass to drink for the respect and health of all KLA fighters who are unjustly imprisoned in Kosovo and The Hague tonight. I would like to slam the empty glass into the iron doors of these prisons, convincing them to return to their families and friends as soon as possible.
You are not forgotten! Cheers.
