Task of the White House Force for COVID-19 is in favour of a plan to lift the entry ban that was imposed on most non-American citizens who arrived in the US from Brazil, Great Britain, Ireland and 26 other European countries, including Italy.
This relief is not for China and Iran, reports ATS.
The president has not yet issued a final decision”, official sources announced.
Many administration officials argue that restrictions no longer make sense, because most countries in the world do not submit to entry bans.
Moreover, lifting the ban would provide a boost to American airlines, which have seen a decline in international travel by 70%.
One possible obstacle, however, is that European countries are unlikely to allow Americans to travel to the continent immediately.
