A new survey suggests that there has been a slight increase in the number of people who are willing to be vaccinated to the choreography, signaling a reduction in reluctance to vaccines. Vaccinators, according to the OBS, include all those who avoid vaccines for any reason or other.

And there is a long list of factors that can influence a person's decision not to take a vaccine or even to give his child a shot. These include lack of trust in health authorities, self - indulgence (untrusting that you need a vaccine) and worrying about taking a vaccine when you need it.

Those who hesitate to vaccinate vary from someone who simply went to “the vaccine, to hot opponents who believe vaccines are toxic toxins that should not be introduced into our bodies, or who support the conspiracy theory that large pharmaceutical companies are manipulating us for their benefits.

The OBS recommends more dialogue than imposing on them, helping people make good decisions for themselves while making it easier to vaccinate when they decide to do it.

As a student of resistance as a behavior, I'm not too tolerant of those who refuse a vaccine when science clearly is on the side of public health. When someone sees the damage done worldwide by infectious diseases such as polio and measles (and now pandemic), and then he sees those who are able to be vaccinated and do not do so, ask yourself what possible justification he may have to harm himself but also anyone else in his community.

I think there are three reasons why opponents of vaccines are wrong and their attitude is immoral. First, let's deal with trust in science. Research on vaccine failure has shown that when authorities give skeptical parents an understandable information about vaccines, they are twice less likely to be skeptical about vaccines than those who do not believe in health authorities.

Second, opponents of vaccines have broken the social contract. Our individual resistance always depends on the sustainability of the supporting systems on which it depends. During the recession caused by pandemic, we have asked governments to be stronger, and to get us out of economic collapse.

We rely on social services and nonprofit organisations to feed and accommodate the most vulnerable. And we have seen that the government is doing what it can to keep society functional. Each individual's endurance depends on how well their surrounding systems accomplish their work. The only reason why vaccine opposers can escape from polio, measles, or some other serious illness is that there are many people who have been vaccinated to create immunity from the flock. When most people meet their social obligations and are vaccinated, we are all more resistant to a possible epidemic outbreak.

As we have recently seen with measles, when child vaccination rates drop to 50 percent, the group's immunity is shattered and children begin to become infected and die of disease that can be prevented. And failure to contribute to the flock's immunity is an act of selfishness on the part of the vaccine's opponents.

According to a document published in “magazine Lancet”, this selfishness and a lack of social conscience, is especially disturbing for those who interact with vaccine opponents, as skeptics toward vaccines tend to think globally but affect their social circle mainly.

Their refusal to accept vaccines as safe ought to be seen for what it is: disrespecting the safety of others, similar to driving someone drunk, or leaving someone's home with a loaded firearm.

Third, opponents of vaccines are manipulating others to make themselves feel more powerful. Like politicians who abuse their influence for personal gain, they do not necessarily choose a vaccine regime, rather they choose an identity they perceive as powerful. / Source: “Psychology Today” /In Albanian by: world.al/
