He made these comments at a news conference shortly after Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti presented new anti-minor measures. CO VID-19, which limits business work and the free movement of citizens depending on the area of municipalities affected by the coronary pandemic.
Mayor Rukiqi said, however, the economy remains open for businesses to work for survival. While stressing that it is the irresponsibilities of the Parliament's non-vote of the Reform Bill.
From the warning of very strict measures that led us to almost total shut-down of the economy, we have added our prayers and requests to the government to have understanding for reducing the curve of infection and death, and at the same time enable the economy to preserve us. This compromise, or this one we proposed, also found support for the government so that the country will not go to nearly total shut-downs of the economy. There will normally be restrictions, there will be strict measures especially in red areas, but the economy will largely remain open to work for survival. We're not talking about any profit or circulation”, Rukiqi stressed.
Rukiqi stressed that businesses and citizens from now on need to show increased caution, as each violation of the measures implies the condemnation of businesses up to three months of total closure.
He said it is disturbing that the Parliament does not approve the draft economic recovery bill again.
It is disturbing, that today, at the time we discussed how to find a mass of pandemic management and maintaining the economy, parliament again took irresponsible action, not adopting the draft economic recovery”, he said.
While the most severe measures are set for municipalities that are in “the red area” such as Pristina, Podujevo, Peja, Gjakova, Gjilan, Ferizaj, where economic activity is allowed to take place by 0500-1900 hours, where after this hour, every activity will be shut down and there will be restrictions on the movement of citizens.
