The theft of millions of euros occurred in the German town of Emmeritch, where customs offices were empty, while German police authorities have announced they have offered a 100,000-euro reward to those offering information about thieves.
German investigators said on Wednesday they have launched a search for suspects who stole 6.5m euros in cash ready last week from a customs office in Emmerich.
Police said in a statement that theft was a planned and professionally conducted “operation by “tre still unidentified authors. The thieves used strong training to reach the safe from a room next to the basement of the building. ”
The train then quickly left with their vehicle, while another witness saw a man walking around the customs office before boarding a car and leaving in the same direction as the van, broadcast the Express newspaper.
Emmeritch is located near the Netherlands border, very close to Niymegen in the Netherlands than the city of Duisburg. It is a major highway between the two countries and is a key point of railway link for Germans travelling to the Netherlands.
German police simultaneously claimed that anyone who has photographs of suspected persons or who saw them moving in some direction would receive a 100,000-euro reward, writes DeutscheWelle Zeitung.
