Pristina Mayor Shpend Ahmeti has declared that besides the overall economic crisis, there is also an acute aspect of the crisis.
Ahmeti said health spending of positive patients with COVID-19, out of pocket, is unaffordable for a large portion of citizens.
These range from a minimum of 50 to 400 euros. Now we can complain about why Kosovo has been 20 years without -- or in recent years it doesn't apply the law on health insurance or that the assembly government approves equal assistance for every patient in the name of health spending”, Ahmeti said, broadcasts the news.net.
He added how Pristina is willing to co-finance an aid to citizens if the central level helps.
“P.S. We're not talking about bread, social assistance, or employment assistance here. We're talking about tests, dentgens and drugs that aren't offered for free in the public system. Like Pristina, we are willing to co-finance such assistance to Pristina citizens if the central level helps”, he added.
