The police officer from Peja beat his wife, IPK arrested him and suspended him from work

Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK), respectively, investigators of the IPK Investigations Department have arrested today a police official on suspicion that the same had committed the same criminal work “raped in the family”. The police official has been arrested under suspicion of beating his wife.

“The IPK has accepted information from Kosovo police today concerning the suspicion of a police official in Pec has committed the previous family criminal acts of domestic violence with Article 248 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code”, the report said.

“Right after receiving information, IPK investigators have responded to the call by interviewing the suspect (police official) and the victim of this case, whose wife has also been offered medical assistance”, adds the announcement.

The same one was left in detention for 48 hours.

After some initial investigative actions have also been consulted by the competent prosecutor and the prosecutor's decision police official has been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours”, the communique explains.

The same case, as part of administrative and investigative procedures, the police official has been suspended. IPK investigators in full co-ordination with the Prosecution will continue to take further investigative action towards full enlightenment of all circumstances related to this case”, the announcement concludes.
