The Democratic Party has set the award for becoming part of the government, after several months in opposition, after it spent 15 of the 20-year post-war years in power. Express teaches that Kadri Wessel's party, to enter Government, is asking the ministries as much as the LDK has, which falls six ministries, which would imply the expulsion of the AAK and Initiative from the coalition.
Outside the government cabinet, The PDK wants it not to issue the position of president, which it holds by its multi-year leader, Hashim Thaci.
The moves are on, but it's not exactly known what's going on. Yesterday, AAKA chief Ramush Haradinaj, who is presidential presidential president, has met with incumbent Hashim Thaci and PDK chairman Kadri Veselin.
Meanwhile, today in the Assembly, Haradinaj belonged to coalition partners; LDK head Isa Mustaf and the Initiative's head, Fatmir Limaj.
The election of the new president has until March 2021, but expectations by The Hague have started earlier. Tomorrow, October 24th, is the deadline when the Special Tribunal confirms or rejects the indictment against Thaci and Wessel for war crimes.
So far, only former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has announced his candidacy for president of the country. Neither the coalition partners nor the PDK have declared support for it. On the president's case, all political actors say they will speak “when the time comes”.
