Kraa: September 4th agreement is historic, more serves America and Serbia

The chairman of the Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts (ASHAK), Mehmet Kraja, has said he does not view Washington's agreement between Kosovo and Serbia as historic. I don't think it's any historic agreement; once you make history, it's a bit more complicated. It is more political agreement and which has served and serves the political moment, even of America, but also Serbia, while less Kosovo”.
Kraja has stressed that this deal, more than serves America and Serbia, each because of their interests.
The “served America, because America is looking to use it. The current president, Trump, uses it for his campaign. Even Serbia, after being given certain tasks, which it must carry out and which the Washington agreement helps them realise; separately about European integrations and some processes that should be conducted in relation to Kosovo”.
According to Kraja, Kosovo needs this agreement less, as there are other major emergencies.
“Kosovo serves less, as there is no emergency in the direction of emergency jobs with Serbia. It would be good to make a comprehensive and final deal, but it's not near and it's unlikely to become”.
Kraja stressed that, according to him, we would not have violated our reports with the United States, even if it was insisted on the point of mutual recognition.
The “we who are in Kosovo know will not be done. We also know that Serbia does not accept Kosovo and does not recognise it. All agreements (dialogu) seem to go in the direction that Serbia, the longer it will not recognise Kosovo”, Kraja has said in Kosovo.
This impression is made because Washington's deal has the largest deficit of the 10 points to be removed by mutual recognition”.
“In relation to Serbia, we are in a situation where we are in some form acting as if we are asking Serbia to create space for advancing processes. I don't think we have such emergencies. We don't have an emergency agreement with Serbia- I think we have other major emergencies”.
Kosovo's political class has sensitivity in relation to international pressure. Part of our reports with Serbia are directly related to political class interests in Kosovo. The realisation of those interests, it suits them and helps keep power in Kosovo”, Kraja said.
