Gastronom reacts to Minister Zemaj after saying gatherings must be stopped

The Kosovo Gastronomers' Association has reacted through a post on their official Facebook page, after Saturday, Health Minister Armend Zemaj has said that all forms of organisation where there are crowds should urgently stop, due to the increase in recent cases. Same [...]

The same have even published some images in which they say the hotel sector is implementing the measures, even though they have been the most economically advanced, and their seminars are their latest hope for recovery.

Full response:

On Saturday we received news from Health Minister Mr. Anamend Zemaj, all forms of organization where there are gatherings of people must urgently be stopped because of increased cases of those infected with COVID-19.

By Information Circle No. All central and local institutions are obliged to stop all public gatherings, seminars and workshops.
As hotel business is closely linked to these activities of central and local institutions, and as we all owe respect to the Government's decisions and join the fight against COVID-19, this decision does not take into account that all security measures have been taken and respected in maintaining these activities.

The Kosovo Hotelier's sector has reacted to this move and has clearly published photos of all measures being taken and respected as 2m apart, temperature measuring before participants enter the hall, disinfecting the hands, and still wearing masks all the time in the facility.

During the fight against the COVIID-19 virus, work must be banned in recent order, since economic development and trade progress are prohibited by labour prevention.

While gatherings that have no work goals are banned in neighbouring countries, seminars and workshops that are being managed very carefully are being banned in Kosovo.

The hotel sector since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic has been the most economically aired and seminars are their last hope of recovery.
Destroying businesses because of decisions without research back and with reason for fighting COVID-19, it is unintelligible and must be avoided immediately.
