The young princess is 52-year-old, sculptor and was named until yesterday, Raphael Boyl. But since today at the order of the Belgian court she will add to the name of the Coburg-Gothha family, as her legitimate member as the king's sister.
The woman has won a court battle with former King Albert III, who did not recognise the fathership of her daughter born of an affair in 1968, while married to Paola Ruffo di Calabria.
86-year-old Albert has been denying his fathership for years, but after almost two decades of media noise the Belgian Court forced him in 2018 to take the DNA test, where breaking the decision would cost 5,000 euros a day.
The results gave Delphine Boyl the right, and now even her children can bear the title “prinica of Belgians”.
