Former Health Minister Arben Vitita has said he is not officially reported that the investigation of tenders given during the pandemic was at the helm of this dictatorship.
This hearing comes a day after Pristina Constitutional Prosecutor's spokeswoman Laureta Ulaj has confirmed that the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina has initiated cases for the development of investigations concerning tenders of the Health Ministry during the time of pandemic in this period.
Vitia said that from the beginning of tendering procedures at the time of the pandemic, the Health Ministry has submitted requests to the Competition Authority and the Economic Crimes Police to investigate each tender procedure without prejudice and without exception.
Also publicly, many cases have required that each of these procedures be investigated by all competent organs. All these documents have been handed over competent bodies from the Health Ministry administration in May as long as I was a minister. This happened because there were price hikes at this time and we didn't want any moment to leave any doubt in this process. So I'm happy that this process has started and I hope there is no finding, but for every finding of the competent organs, I call on all measures for each individual without exception and any procedure that could have such problems”, Vitita said, in a statement that the Vetevendosje official has distributed on Facebook.
