Various priorities of “beneficiaries” and US, for Kosovo

Albin Kurti and Isa Mustafa are in the last week of the possible failure to form the government, released by the October 6th elections, but this appears to be no US concern at all.

President Trump's special envoy for the peace negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia, Ambassador Richard Green, has declared priority not so much of reaching the Kurti-Mustafa agreement, but the achievement of the Kosovo-Serbia agreement.

After meetings in Kosovo and Belgrade, Ambassador Green has demanded that Serbia stop the battle against Kosovo's recognition, while Kosovo lifts the tax for Serbia as steps leading to climate creation for closing the agreement.

Ignoring Kosovo's “profitable negotiations in recent elections, and imposing on the Kosovo-Serbia agreement as a condition for Kosovo's economic development, by President Trump's envoy, shows the different political class priorities in Kosovo with those of the US for Kosovo.

Since the 6 October election campaign, what was seen was that none of Kosovo's politicians made the political debate in the elections the Kosovo-Serbia agreement the subject. In spite of that, there was a populist campaign against her, followed by the Haradinaj government tax, presented as “rescue” Kosovo in the name of patriotism.

In fact, the 100 per cent tax was set as a political mechanism to cut off US-led Kosovo-Serbia talks, and to be used for internal political warfare, restoring the rhetoric of traitors and heroes.

In almost disgusting negotiations from October 6th to today, in no line and in no paragraph of conditioning to each other, Isa Mustafa and Albin Kurti have mentioned Kosovo's top priority, which are talks with Serbia, which condition the western future of Kosovo.

It's been talked about numbers of ministers, the president's next chair, the vote and the resignations of the head of Parliament, the agency and the minister's re-united, but no one has talked about what to do with the first topic, which the new government will face, if it manages to do.

And this is very irresponsible, since practically if the two main partners don't have a sound attitude for the talks, then the government is born dead and nobody needs it.

From the way President Trump's envoy was brought to the respective headquarters of LDK and VV today, it is understood that he has outlined this problem and completely ignored their negotiations for the government, announcing the normalisation of Kosovo's Western and economic future.

And that means that President Trump's visit to Pristina has practically ignored negotiations for a government that is not useful. He has dictated priorities, why a new government should be formed, and those priorities are the economic development of Kosovo, which comes from overcoming isolation from the lack of a peace agreement with Serbia.

Kosovo will save that government that has enough courage to have the US agenda as its agenda. Every other government, only degrades, not only the Western future of Kosovo, but also its own survival. Especially on behalf of “patriotism”. /tma.net
