“Bota must continue to support the efforts of the Venezuelan people to restore democracy and end the tyranny of Maduro, which affects Colombia and the entire region”, the US Secretary of State, after talks with President Ivan Duque, in Bogota.
Pompeii, who started in Colombia his seventh tour of Latin America and the Caribbean, added that Washington would continue to work to restore democracy in Venezuela, stressing that citizens are against authoritarianism and seek freedom.
In addition, he condemned the misery where he left Maduro to his country's inhabitants in crisis, from which some 4.6 million Venezuelans have fled in recent years, of which 1.6 million are in neighboring Colombia. / A T S/
