It says: Andrew Shaban

When we were little, in the early 1990s, you told us “let me know that without school you're gonna be out of work for the rest of your life. But we're looking at Noiz, with 4 grade school promoted in school books as the most famous artist in Albania. We also saw ministers with average five, as well as dean universities with stolen doctors.

You told us that you could read books. You're not going anywhere. But we're looking at deputies who still don't know all the letters of the alphabet, or the table of multiplying. We also saw the millions of euro homes of Tirana's wealthy, which in thousands of square meters do not have a bookshelf.

When we were little, you told us you'd work hard, that if you didn't work, you'd end up poor” But we are seeing billionaire politicians who haven't worked for a day in their lives. We also saw how Taci, Beli, Zamir, Cetti, and all “klients” of privatisations, who fell asleep as translators, kemibist or drivers, and were dawned as factory owners and mines built with the work of millions of Albanians.

He told us the “is always the truth, that the lie has the short legs”. But we're looking at how for 19 years at the mayors they've been elected, and re-elected, three pathological liars, the biggest this country has ever seen.

When we were little, you told us that “to become an artist it took a lot of talent, and a lot of work”. But we're looking at how art has been taken hostage by mediocrity, while licenses and arts academys continue to prepare waitresses and telephone-center workers. We also saw how song festivals resemble parades in Amsterdam's red - light alleys.

You told us that your man <x0... But we're looking at how the state gives “economic assistance” (without doing any work) 5m euros a year to Klodjan that burns garbage, and 3m euros Cett raising the beam.

When we were little, we were told that we were an honest life. Don't kill or steal if you're going to be honored and respected by society” But we see dozens of criminals being held with titles and honours, in Parliament, at the head of ministries, municipalities, or the biggest businesses in the country. We also saw how honorary titles and decorations are traded like merchandise on the living find market.

You told us you wanted your country, because your grandparents lived here, and that's where your kids will live. But we're looking at how for 29 years these guys are contaminating water, land and air. And we saw how they cut down the forests, stole the riverbed, took the shore, and roared the mountains.

You told us a lot of things, but it turns out you've been lying... We saw 29 years that the reality in Albania has been quite different.

Today the average Albanian lives a difficult life, left on a poor island, but surrounded by a sea of natural wealth.

Today the honest Albanian lives without pride, left at the bottom of the hall, on a stage dominated by all kinds of villains without a mother.

Today the educated Albanian, who has sacrificed a life in school, has been brought to an end by the leaders' mediocrites, who don't even remember how to read the newspaper.

Today the talented Albanian is looking for a job to close the month, and has forgotten dreams of artistic careers.

Today the hardworking Albanian has become the slave of an unfathomable cast, which has taken every sphere of life, political, media, academy or business hostage.

Today the native Albanian is abandoning his dreams and selling his property to buy a ticket that will take him to the end of the world, just to find a place to be treated as a human and feel a compounding part of society...

So, at the end of these three decades, we, the generation born and grown after 1990, have two choices ahead of us: either change the reality we live in, or learn other things to our children.

My wish is to make the first, and in 2019 we leave behind not the values we grew up with, but this sad reality that has accompanied us for 29 years.

Let 2020 be not just the beginning of a decade, but the beginning of a new era for all of us who have decided to live and die with dignity in this country! /dear.net
