That is because Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has officially launched the legal path towards incumbent Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.
The head of the Albanian executive has exercised indictments against his Kosovo counterpart, Ramush Haradinaj.
Rama's indictment, which has secured the “Justice Vow” on Wednesday, has been handed over to the Constitutional Court in Pristina.
In claims that Haradinaj has slandered his statements to Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama requires compensation for the damage.
Edi Rama's indictment, which contains over 30 pages, claims Haradinaj has slandered Rama for his statements he has given on the topic of exchanging territories.
In this indictment, several broadcast emissions during October last year are cited, in which Haradinaj has spoken on the subject, and where he accused Rama, who along with Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vuciqiqi, have launched the idea of exchanging territories between Kosovo and Serbia.
“on the date of 17,10.2019 and 29.10.2019, verdict Ramush Haradinaj, at the time of carrying out the declaration Prime Minister in charge of the Republic of Kosovo (even below referred to as “the verdict” of an interview given to journalist Arthur Zheji published on the 360.grad on the page of 17,10.2019 as well as during the interview conducted on 29.2019, on the television show Pressing/Zona Pressing published at television <x>) of the Republic, has carried out misleading public statements in the follow-up of the honourary address, without having been issued, with the executional address to the executional address, the executional and the executional resolution.
The indictment reportedly defamatory statements have had in context preparations for the process of dialogue between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia, which, in principle, reportedly in the indictment, would have to result in a mutually binding agreement on both sides and mutual recognition between these two states.
This case has dominated the public debate since the end of 2018 and during 2019, resulting in charges of “tradition”, each time against persons who claimed that during this process dialogue they have supported the idea of the so-called “fold of territories between Kosovo and Serbia”” is said to be further in this indictment.
According to the indictment, Kosovo's prime minister is the author and public spread of allegations of concrete facts, which repeatedly and indirectly, have brought to the public the false idea under which the Republic of Albania's “prime minister in the Pashtor person is serving an idea at the expense of the Albanian nation's interest in general and the interest of the Republic of Kosovo in particular”
It mentions a large number of statements Haradinaj has repeatedly given, and in which he has referred to Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Part of these statements is that Haradinaj, according to the indictment, also refers to corrupt relatives to the idea of exchanging territories.
In the indictment it is said that Haradinaj's ongoing stance has been held against facts that, according to the indictment, Rama has never discussed such topics.
The Republic of Albania's “prime minister has no formal and legal-political role in the evental agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia. And this is about the fact that this kind of agreement based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo constitutes an act that can only and exclusively be approved by the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo and, furthermore, exclusively requires the approval of 2/3 of all Kosovo Assembly deputies[1], and therefore 80 pro votes, including MPs from the ruling coalition and opposition, in each circumstance. The prime minister of the Republic of Albania has never supported and declared himself in favour of such an idea. The Community's position in the Government of the Republic of Albania has been one and only: that of supporting the position of the Republic of Kosovo's positions towards an internationally binding agreement for the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia, which would result in mutual recognition between the two countries and open the effective path towards Euro-Atlantic integration”, it is said among other things in the indictment.
In this indictment, Rama has not mentioned the amount of damage he claims to have been caused.
But, by indictment, he has demanded that in addition to compensation for the damage, Haradinaj be forced to issue statements that according to the indictment, are slander, as well as to deny them.
Kosovo's incumbent Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, has repeatedly accused Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, Serbia's Aleksandar Vucic and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama of being leaders who have initiated the idea and worked towards realising the exchange of territory between Kosovo and Serbia.
