Cell: Have Albanian political factor, not Macedonian rule's tail

Alliance for Albanians leader Ziadin Sela says in an interview for KosovoPress that Albanians in Northern Macedonia are politically treated as a national minority, even though they make up a third of the population.

According to him, there is still no equality for Albanians there, while praising there have been no achievements in any of the areas, including economic development. The headquarters preparing for the April 12th elections says it is time to have political factors in Macedonia, not the tail of LSDM governance, or VMRO, and that DUI must go into opposition.

In an interview for Kosova Press, Sela also talks about not getting the date for opening negotiations for membership in the European Union, which the Government of Northern Macedonia blames for.

According to him, Northern Macedonia has not noted achievements in justice reforms, and continues to be the place where criminals walked freely, while honest ones are put together political processes.

He says that with this government composition and no rule of law, the European Union cannot be claimed.

For this failure, he blames government policies in northern Macedonia, which, as he says, are judicial processes since it comes to politicians, is never found epilogue.

The Sela adds that Albanians continue to be discriminated against and the country is still far from meeting the targets, why the law on language use has been brought.

“The time has come to have Albanian political factor in the right sense of the word and in the right sense of the word, and not the Albanian political factor, the tail of the LSDM government or VMRO, but the Albanian political factor within the government with its programme legitimising with the vote of Albanians on election day”, he says.

According to him, solutions should be found with the Constitution because there can be no temporary definition languages, which defines the Albanian language as speaking over 20 percent of the population, which is different from the Macedonian language.

“Albanians unfortunately treated politically as a national minority, as a minority, Albanians are a third of the population, 30 percent of the people being treated as minorities, I think it's not right, or treated as a Serbian, or Roma, away from the idea that we have against something other community here, but which is the definition of the minority, you can't treat for minorities a people who are a tradition of the population and who have the capacity and stability of the state, and in an economic aspect, even by filling half of its budget with taxes, but a people who had the capacity after the 2001 conflict, or not to make the country a success.

For these, he also blames the Democratic Union for Integration, which is in government with LSDM.

According to him, this subject must go into opposition and find the ideal that has lost it.

“What needs to happen on the other hand so that we can get out of this abyss, not equality discrimination, explosion and oppression, the first must be removed from those who rule us for 18 years, which is the Democratic Union for Integration, Albanians cannot claim to be different for them unless they vote otherwise on election day. And 18 years is seven electoral cycles, and voting the same and pretending to be different is absurd. So the first one, the DUI and Ali Ahmeti must go into opposition, there they will then realize that the ideal has long been lost and must seek within the opposition, their missing ideal, and for that result it must come to the Alliance's expression for Albanians”, he says.

He says the Alliance for Albanians is ready to co-operate with the Albanian opposition parties, where it itself has called on Movement Besa and the Alternative.

The Sela shows that they have conducted several meetings with the leader of the Besa Movement and that of the Alternative, from whom she says she has asked to see their common plight.

Northern Macedonia will hold elections on April 12th this year, the decision that has been made in compliance with political leaders and the president, as the country failed to get the date for opening negotiations for the European Union.

On 3 January, the Skopje agreement is expected to take effect, with which it clears up that three months before elections are held, the technical government, which only deals with the organisation of the elections.
