Ahmeti: A national flag and university people cannot be considered discriminated against

DUI Chairman Ali Ahmeti, in an interview for Kosovo Press, shows whether a co-operation with Albanian parties in opposition is possible. About how long the partnership with Zoran Zaev's LSDM will continue and also talks about not opening negotiations with the European Union. He said his subject has one [...]
He said his subject has one of the most stable electorates in the country, and expects the 12 April elections to increase the number of supporters. The DUI is already scheduled to compete alone in elections expected to be held this spring in Northern Macedonia, and according to Ahmeti, smaller parties have to get together, since, as he says, more than two Albanian parties in the country harm them, thus becoming the distribution of the vote.
Ali Ahmeti says that in northern Macedonia they are still organised on ethnic grounds and still need Albanians represented by responsible Albanian political parties
The Democratic Union for Integration's “Electorate is one of the most stable electorates in the country under all tests for 18 years that have been conducted. But we're making the effort not only that the electorate we've had, the sponsors and the numbers to grow, and we're all at work, the party branches, the local councils, the party organs, we've named the chief of the central election staff, we've raised the chiefs of staff in the areas, we haven't yet formalized them, we haven't yet published them, but they're at the start of work, so that everyone on their shoulders will be responsible for organising the” elections, Ahmeti says.
According to him, it is not important which Albanian party wins, but which priority should be established Albanians' victory, since he says, having necessary mandates according to the number representing Albanians, are then much more important both for the local and international communities.
“We have already been designated to go to the elections alone, we hope that small parties will get together, because not once have I repeated, to us Albanians in Macedonia more than two parties are harmful to Albanians because Albanians make them insignificant, because many parties where there is a vote being done, spreading votes are losing mandates, and we have had it in the elections of four years ago where six Albanian parties have competed and with this competition have lost ten parliamentary mandates. So if small parties manage to agree to get together, at least not to lose” mandates, he adds.
Ahmeti says the upcoming mandate for what will come to the government will not be easy at all.
According to him, quality should increase in education, health and court.
But Ahmeti claims there may be some injustice in any judicial process in Northern Macedonia, but not even discrimination for Albanians.
“A people who have their national flag, a people who have three universities in their own language, two state and a private-run university, can't be said of a people whose main pillars of statehood are not in their areas where they live, in their languages, on the flag, in universities, in fair representation in institutions, in public administration, in state administration, in the police, in the military, there's still work to do that doesn't close all the issues, for example, as far as it is concerned in the practice of language, we are in the first steps today, but we don't have to ask for it to see how many of us as we're willing to do, Ahmeti, Ahmeti just say.
He says it takes systematic work in order to eliminate prejudices for Albanians as if they want to dominate and possess the entire Republic of Northern Macedonia.
When asked about reports with the governing partner, Zoran Zaev's LSDM, Ahmeti says they continue to have co-operation as well as why there are differences between them.
He says their partnership will continue until the 12 April elections.
However, in this country we are still organised on ethnic grounds, and in this country still needs Albanians to be represented by an Albanian political party with dignity, but with responsibilities, because all of the Albanians' demands we can't achieve the fulfillment of a Macedonian bloc's party because there are certainly prejudices, there are still political parties under pressure from a part of society, because prejudices are not eliminated within the year, because there are injustices that have lasted for centuries, and that that which is embedded by centuries, it doesn't be eradicated within a day<x> he says.
While asked for possible co-operation with Albanian parties, Ahmeti says such efforts have resulted without success.
This, of course, depends on the will of small Albanian parties, the will of all parties... Of course we have insisted, communicated, but all attempts have not been successfully completed by”, Ahmeti says.
The election date set in northern Macedonia was made in compliance between all political parties and the country's president. This came after the country failed to get the date for opening negotiations with the European Union.
Ahmeti voiced optimism that things change positively and open negotiations with the EU, while failing to see the government at fault.
“I've seen in an analistic prism, especially the French part that are not without experience in organization, in politics and diplomacy, I've seen it as a moment of despair among many countries who aspired to open negotiations because I think we're being excluded from the census to have the right to start teaching at a school, we wanted to enroll in the first grade and we didn't get this opportunity, we were denied a right. We didn't ask to qualify with diplomas, without learning abc, we asked to learn abc, we wanted Europe to help with their programs, with their experiences about improving standards, about the functioning of the rule of law, but that's right, because of the dyvergities we all provided for a positive score”, Ahmeti says.
He adds that not to be lost is the Union and NATO membership.
On January 3rd, the Skopje agreement is expected to take effect, with which it is clarified that three months before elections are held, the technical government, which will only address the organisation of the elections.
Meanwhile, the distribution of parliament is expected to take place immediately in February.
