“From New York to Berlin”, Thaci: US helping us with Euro-Atlantic integration

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has chosen a photo with two important American ambassadors to deliver a clear political message. By isolating New York (where there is UN headquarters) and Berlin (not Brussels), Thaci stresses it is the US that is helping Kosovo achieve full Euro-Atlantic integration.

In a photo by the side of US ambassadors to the UN and Germany, Thaci writes: “during President Donald Trump's reception, I met two Kosovo friends, Ambassador Kelly Craft and Ambassador Richard Green, the backbone of US diplomatic relations. From New York to Berlin, the United States is helping us achieve our goal of full Euro-Atlantic integration”.

President Thaci has been the leading political actor in Kosovo who has considered US involvement necessary in any agreement his country will sign with Serbia in the future, even if the process is directed by Brussels.
