The head of the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament, Kadri Veselin, today in marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Kosovo Police has said that order and security in Kosovo are at the highest levels, thanks to the dedication of the men and women who carry the Kosovo Police uniform, so according to him, police need greater support from the state.
The head of the Assembly said the Kosovo Police and the Army are the most professional and uncorrupted institutions in the region.
On this 20-year anniversary, the Prime Minister Wessel has expressed respect and respect for the heroes who have fallen on the altar of freedom, defending Kosovo's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as all policemen who have fallen to the helm of office.
The Speaker of the Parliament stressed that Kosovo police should be incompatible to crime, corruption, nepotism, as, as Veselin said, fighting these phenomena opens up prospects for the country for economic development, the best prosperity for Kosovo citizens.
Fighting these phenomena opens the perspective to the country and to Euro-Atlantic integration and we don't need to beg anyone to liberalise our visas, but we liberalise them ourselves, because we develop our country, by rule of law, and then even our partners will be more humble toward us as state identities and as a new nation in the European Union”, Veselin said.
The Speaker of the Parliament pledged that more will be done in support of the police, the military and all security institutions, in improving working conditions, but also in raising salaries.
We will do more to support the Kosovo Police and Army, both their vital security, and to improve the working conditions for the police, but also to raise salaries, because freedom and security are the essence of a state, but when well-being and economic development are there, then there is even greater meaning”, said Wessel.
