Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Bocan Harchenko says the meeting of Vuciq and Lavrov in New York was very significant.
Regarding Kosovo, Ambassador Harchenko says that so far, the Serbian leadership has not had a real political effort to resolve the Kosovo issue, and that absolutely nothing has been done.
“Russia had been prevented from doing what is necessary to solve Kosovo's problem, but it was looking for the right way to solve it,” said Bocan Harchenko, warning that the talks that are taking place in Kosovo today are not talks in the true sense of the word.
Serbia's “Serbia has been given a choice, you have options, one is a compromise, and the other is, if there is no compromise, the recognition of Kosovo independence” concluded Bocan-Kharchenko, Tanjug reported, conveys news.
Kharchenko explained that solving international problems could not work overnight, and that such an approach required a difficult long-term effort, but that the result was long-term.
I had the opportunity to pursue developments in this region, and make a conclusion based on what I see, not on what it says. I noticed that countries in the region are safer and you can see that people feel safer,” explained, adding that Russia is aware of that because it itself has gone through the same problems.
