Officials from MDIS, either from the Diaspora Investment Research and Support Department, have made visits to some of the diaspora businesses that have invested in Kosovo, with particular emphasis on producers.

Staff DHPID led by the director, Mrs. Albanian Krasniqi, visited “Stone Castel” and “Kosovo Win” with headquarters in Rahovec.

They met with the owner of “Stone Castel”, Rrustem Gecin, and owner of “Kosovo Wine” Fatmir Shehu, both exiles from the United States, who decided to invest in Kosovo and employ hundreds of young people from Kosovo.

MDIS officials have encouraged them for the work they have done and continue to do, and have also pledged to create facilities even more.

Both companies' concerns were about fiscal policies, which they have also sought assistance from MDIS.

MDIS highly appreciates the wine sector, as in addition to other wine is the product that represents the state of Kosovo.

Companies in question, except that they have markets in Kosovo of their products, have managed to export a considerable amount to some countries in the world and are grateful to Kosovo institutions.

Apart from them staff of DHPID has also held meetings at the German Plast companies, LUNA shpk, APIOS, Bletaria, Peja, Joos Krasniqi at large, Unik Stonebreaker.

All these businessmen expressed their satisfaction with the visit made by the Ministry of Diaspore and Strategic Investments, considering it as an expression of state care towards them.

These visits are conducted based on the Strategy for Diaspora 2019-2023.
