Bytyqi supports closure of schools in Kamenica, criticises SBASK

Bytyqi has said that their closure is being done for the benefit of students, because at this rate the quality of education in this municipality is continuing to decline.

I think the chairman in Kamenica has taken an extremely bold and very shot step because they talk about a large number of schools that have minimum students, so it's extremely low and it's an administrative guide, the law that determines how much school needs to have the number of students, so that the school is active and is able to develop quality learning at this time. So if the number of students falls below this level, they will immediately have a drop in the quality of learning, and normally Mayor Central Kastrati has been aware of the decline in quality in education and has taken the first steps to regulate the teaching arrangement which is the duty of the country”.

It's a law-based action and I think what needs to be done in other municipalities. What needs to be done is convince citizens that it's not about wanting to shut down schools but issues for the benefit of their own children's students. Because these children will not only fail to get proper education and education at these schools, where one class can have two or three students but also have other social integration problems of these children”.

Bytyqi has said that the care of teachers in this municipality is also considered, in which he guarantees that they will not be out of work.

“SBASK does not analyze how important it is to educate a child but deals with secondary issues compared with the weight of child education. I continue to defend this thought with persistence if our actions are not in favor of students, then why should it be an educational system. Mayor Kastrati has also thought about the teaching issue, so he has not made the decision that these will immediately be out of work, so he thought that even the educators might have a care so that they don't gradually get out of work”, Bytyqi said.

Meanwhile, regarding the lack of textbooks in municipalities, Bytyqi says their distribution depending on how much is required by the municipality itself. He says there is no interest in solving this problem, EO reports.
