Since the privatisation process has begun, only half of social property has managed to be privatised.
Of the approximately 3 000 and 951 assets, of which have so far been privatised between 1000 and 762, while remaining unprivatized 2 thousand and 189, or 55 percent of assets.
Of them, agricultural land is around 551, while other assets are about 1,000.
These data have become known to news.net from the Kosovo Privatisation Agency.
“Agency has identified 598 social companies. Of the 598 social companies, 3,951 assets have been identified. Of them so far have been privatised, 1,762 assets, while still unprivatized assets are 2,189, or in percentage scores of about 55 %s of assets are unprivatised”. Of them are 551 assets, while other assets are around 1143 assets”, the ATK's written answer is said.
However, despite that, the AKP says the value of privatisation is not known, as the privatisation process is done through tenders.
“Sic knows AKP organises the privatisation process through open public tenders, where the highest bid wins the tender, so we are unable to make preliminary assessments, it has revealed AKP news.net.
Meanwhile, the AKP still does not know exactly how long all social properties will be privatised.
They say the dynamic of the closure or liquidation of social companies is closely linked to the dynamics of meeting credit and property requirements from the Supreme Court's Special Chamber.
“Agency has increased the privatisation dynamic in order to complete the process of transforming social property as soon as possible. As you know, the dynamic of social enterprise closure or liquidation is closely linked to the dynamics of meeting credit and property requirements from the Supreme Court's Special Chamber. However, not everything depends on the Agency. So we have to be careful and I wouldn't mention a certain year. The commitment will be maximum for the process to go as well, the more orderly it is, the better the economic development of the country and the more co-ordinated it is with other state institutions”, the AKP has announced.
