The account of Krusha's women whose products are being sold in Europe

Although it is one of the most painful war stories in Kosovo, women in the village of Krusha have managed to turn the pain of losing men into strength, to continue through work and maximum commitment. Through the Agricultural Cooperative “Krusha”, women who remain without their husbands in 1999 joined this umbrella as the best way to generate income and remove the frustration that is reminding them of the great pain every day.
Fahrije Hoti, director of the Agriculture Cooperative “Krusha”, has shown that in 2005 she had begun as a single one, to turn her back to a 14-year period in a business that employs 55 workers.
I've started individually, and I don't forget it's been a rough day. By 2010 we worked as a nongovernmental organization, where thanks to German GTZ, we turned the heat into a co-operative. By 2010 we have only 12 employees, and now we've become 55 sosh”, Hoti added.
She has stressed that the main purpose of this initiative, besides creating revenue, has been to keep women in the village socialised through job openings, to discuss exchanging conversations among themselves, aiming not to keep them isolated.
We didn't want to turn our product into industrial production, because we've been aiming for every job to be touched by hand and thus to open as many jobs, because by adding to our production capacities, there will be an increase in the number of workers”, Hoti said.
Furthermore it has clarified it has not been easy to start a business, because according to her, there has been some kind of prejudice about those as widows who are doing business.
But I think that now the cooperative is a country where many women generate income, not having to reach out to nobody's helping hand, but to earn their own work: Hoti stressed.
According to her, the Krusha village tragedy has been very great because in 1999 over 240 people have lost their lives, leaving more than 140 widows and over 500 fatherless children who have faced no difficulties.
The second war in Kosovo, after 1999, is not to be emptied of young people, who are leaving their homeland daily”, she added.
By contrast, Hoti also spoke of the avaria that had happened a few weeks earlier in their workshop, where, as a result, the factory's power spaces had been set on fire, causing a damage of over 100,000 euros, which were almost entirely covered by the German Embassy in Kosovo.
