21 tonnes of meat held in the warehouse of the Kosovo Islamic Community, located in Veternik, Pristina, has been organised by the Food and Veterinary Agency, as it has been rotten meat that cannot be consumed. The AUV has found that there was no capacity for cooling in the BIK depot, and that the freeze has not been done over time.
That meat in the warehouse of the Islamic Community of Kosovo was kept in terrible condition was known everywhere. In fact, an online newspaper named Inseder had reported something like this, and the Food and Veterina Agency finally managed to get on the ground.
This agency has found that meat cannot be used for consumption because it has not been frozen in time and for which it has been broken.
The Veterinary Inspectors of the Food and Veterinary Agency have immediately realised control of the warehouse. There they encountered 21 tons of beef of the species. After detailed inspection, inspectors estimate that the meat stored there was not frozen at first with a time of”.
The cooling capacity of the warehouse has failed to freeze the meat to the necessary storage temperature, and how the effect has come to, contamination or decay. From physical and organoleptic control it has been found that meat has begun to change color, some of the packing has had blood flow, which proves that the flesh has been melted and frozen and has begun to reek the smell (attractation process)”, AV spokesman Lamir Thaci said.
According to Thaci, the annihilation of the amount of 21 tonnes has been established based on these findings.
“Based on the laws in power and standard control procedures, based on high check findings, inspectors have decided to commit the annihilation of a total of 21 tonnes because they fail to meet the conditions for”, Thaci said.
According to him, the Islamic Community has created conditions for annihilation under the inspectors' decision.
“Distraction has begun today and is being carried out by the waste disposal company, at the Obilic waste depot under the supervision of AUV inspectors”, he said.
