“Secretary Michael R. Pompeo met with Serbia's President Alexander Vuciq in New York today. Secretary Pompeii spoke of the close reports between the United States and Serbia. Secretary and President Vuciq discussed bilateral vision in the stability, security and perspective of Western Balkan countries and the continuation of US support for Serbia's integration into the European Union. Secretary Pompeo, encourage Serbia to focus on this point by implementing needed reforms, as well as restarting dialogue with Kosovo on normalising reports between the two countries and ending with mutual recognition. The secretary has suggested that both sides should avoid provocations that could undermine the normalisation process, as well as show a spirit of flexibility to secure an agreement that would avoid the impasse of both countries. ”
Pompeo, meanwhile, has suggested that both sides should give up provocations so that the process can be normalised as soon as possible, as in this process, a spirit of flexibility can be shown so that the agreement necessary for both countries can be reached.
During the meeting between Vuciq Pompeo, US Secretary of State has spoken of the close relations Serbia US, the State Department communique says.
Pompeo has earlier published a photo of Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq in his account in Titter, where he wrote that the normalisation of reports with Kosovo would strengthen stability and the future for Serbia, as well as for all Western Balkan countries.
Pompeo and Vuciq have met in New York City at a working lunch in the UN Security Council meeting margins to discuss the situation in the Middle East.
After meeting with Pompeii, Vuciq has said he believes America should play a greater role in solving problems in the Western Balkan region.
As far as I'm concerned, I've asked in a simpler and more honest way, for American administrations to exert a greater influence on Kosovo Albanians to lift the tax they imposed a year ago. There is no doubt that we have US support, because they love us, believing that continuing dialogue with Pristina is extremely important”, Vuciq said.
According to Vuciqi, éposa Pristina removes the tax it has imposed on Serbian products, Serbia is willing to return dialogue”.
I have said that Serbia is ready despite its internal political agenda since they remove the tax we will continue the dialogue. It doesn't matter what price we pay. I said we're willing to talk and see if there's room for any solution and these solutions won't be satisfactory for either side”, Vuciq said, writes Periscope.
Vucic says he let Pompeo know that he hopes America understands that the future of the region depends on relations between Serbs and Albanians since they are the two biggest nations in the Balkans.
Let's find arguments to build peace for our people as soon as possible. I have also talked about the importance of preserving our sacred sites, such as churches and monasteries in Kosovo”, Vuciq has said. /Periscopi/
