Wessel with Senator Ron Johnson: Kosovo ready for final phase of dialogue

Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselini has met today in the US Senate, Senator Ron Johnson with whom they have discussed political developments in the country and the region, with particular emphasis on the final phase of the Kosovo-Sebi dialogue.

Senator Johnson said the US is always alongside Kosovo on its way to Euro-Atlantic integration.

It is important that Kosovo and Serbia return dialogue as soon as possible and reach the binding agreement. The case of Macedonia and Greece is an example to follow that when there is political will, a final agreement could be reached”, Senator Johnson said.

For his part, Chief Parliamentary Wessel thanked Senator Johnson for his continued US support for the Republic of Kosovo.

Kosovo's “Republic and Serbia must reach binding agreement for mutual recognition. This is the only option that ensures lasting peace and stability in the region. Despite internal differences, due to dialogue, the Republic of Kosovo is ready for the final phase of the” dialogue, Veselin has said.
