Thaci launches meetings with political parties, meets representatives of KDTP, VAKAT

President Hashim Thaci, today, has met representatives of the KDTP and VAKAT from the 6+ parliamentary group, Minister Mahir Jagcilar and deputies Duda Balje and Bahrim Sabani, with whom he talked about political developments following the resignation of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.
The head of state said that there is now the need for concrete steps in line with the Constitution and Kosovo laws to have a functional and effective government in place as soon as possible.
“This government must reflect the will of political parties for a new ruling solution or that of a new electoral process and make it possible for Kosovo to become quickly with government”.
“Appointments with other political parties will continue in the coming days, depending on the agenda and developments within the relevant political parties”, the president's office on media suggests.
Kosovo Mayor Hashim Thaci will meet with CEC Chairman Valdete Daka tomorrow to continue consultations on further steps under these new circumstances.
