Protesters locked up at National Theatre, police remove barricades

Activists for the Protection of the National Theatre have decided to continue the protest within the building as an attempt not to allow the government's plan for its collapse to advance. A barricade was erected at the main door of the building to prevent effective entrances, but the latter reacted by removing the planks stationed there. [...]
This police action was accompanied by calls from protesters seeking the removal of blue uniforms.
Meanwhile, the building has also had electricity cut off. Activists consider this action deliberate.
Theatre Protection Activists have also received support from the opposition, with Chairman Lulzim Basha present during the morning at the premises. But Prime Minister Edi Rama and Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj have seen today's protest as organised by a minority that cannot hold the plan for new theatre hostage.
Republika President Ilir Meta also reacted by depositing in the Constitutional Court the requirement for unconstitutional declaration of the law for the theatre building.
