The island has also been owned by Narco-dile Pablo Escobar and is believed to have been used on its trafficking route.
Although the festival was an absolute fraud, the island cannot be said to be the same.
Over 14,000 square feet [14,000 sq m] of private island has seven magnificent beaches, the main house and several small huts, and boasts the best landscapes in the world.
The luxury festival, by contrast, had a full finish of thousands of visitors disappointed about their tickets, which often paid up to $49,000, instead of putting luxury on the island, were waited in tents and none of the concerts for which they paid tickets were held.
Entrepreneur Billy Mcfarland was sentenced to six years in prison and a fine of $26 million.
