As the committee's meeting for Legislation and Mandate began, where Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri is expected to report, the latter has not arrived.
The chairman of this commission, Albulen Haxhiu, announced that one day ago the minister Tahiri cannot report to the commission because of his agenda.
Nevertheless, it was critical to his absence. As she added that Tahiri will be invited back to report before the commission, especially on the issue of recent scandals that have come up with the recruit of new swimmers.
I believe this is irresponsible to the commission because no other agenda is more important than the Republic Parliament agenda, in this case, to the Commission for Legislation. So, next Tuesday, we invite the minister back, and the first point will be the swimmers' case, then the other two points for the justice system and corrective service”, she said.
As for recruiting young swimmers, Haxhiu said most swimmers were family and friends of Minister Abelard Tahiri, and employees of the Ministry.
“As you know, a list of multiple swimmers, where most of them were family and friends, co-party Justice Minister, but also its MD employees, even employees who were responsible for the department of free professions, turned out to have passed the swimmer. Therefore, we cannot hold back from this situation because there have been requests to address mine, in my particular, as chairman of the commission, that this point be turned to zero and that since scandals have already emerged, I think the Commission for Legislation is competent to address and call Justice Minister” in reporting, she added.
Meanwhile, the Commission for Legislation and Mandate has continued with other points of the agenda: Adoption of the processions from meetings held by date: 10.4, 16.4, 24.4 and 07.05.2019, review of the report with amendments to the Functional Commission on Bill No. 06/L-100 for air protection from pollution; Examining Justice Academy Executive Director Valon Kurtaj's paperwork and reviewing the remarks and demands of professional collaborators regarding the Drift Order for Elections, nominated, rights and obligations of professional collaborators
