The principle is for the LDK chairman to take responsibility for leading the party and the country. But even this pattern is especially acceptable when under the circumstances when we are unable for one of the candidates to come up with the other”.
Gashi in the Info Magazine of Kosovo has confirmed that Isa Mustafa has expressed a desire not to re-negotiate the position of the party's first.
“Mustafa has been reluctant to rerun to head because of the situation in which the situation, but that doesn't mean he doesn't run. Mustafa has not been declared to have entered the race. He has stated that if there is consensus for another candidate, he has expressed the will not to run”.
My preference is to have a chairman who takes over both party and country processes. The LDK has responsibilities before Kosovo citizens and itself. The LDK has been in its first stages as a movement, I think there has remained the link, the sensitivity of Kosovo citizens, even though they may be voters of another party”.
Meanwhile for the new elections, he has said he prefers to go without pre-election coalitions.
“The idea of going individually to elections for major parties is best to receive the reward or popular punishment. You know his strength. Even the programmes would be more realistic and there would be a post-election coalition that would be co-ordinated on the basis of programmes. Time has proved that pre-election coalitions have been inefficient”.
