According to data, the population of 512.4 million in 2018 has seen an increase of 1.1 million to reach 513.5 million.
Germany remains the EU's most populated state of 83 million, and France is ranked 67 million, then Great Britain with 66.6 million, Italy with 60.4 million, Spain with 46.9 million, and Poland with 38 million.
The growth of the population in the EU has swelled from migration, as mortality in 2018 has been greater than fertility, namely, in 28 EU countries has registered 5.3 million deaths and five million births.
