The ARKEP's reaction comes after breaking off Telekom's Z-Mobile contract.

Through a media statement, it says that relations between network operators and virtual operators are currently allowed in Kosovo with commercial agreements.
“In its announcement, Kosovo Telecom has pledged that, in accordance with contractual commercial conditions, it will apply a transitional period in the function of protecting consumers for not interrupting service. A The RKEP is analyzing the created situation and compatible with the legal and regulatory framework in force will take regulatory action if such action is necessary in the coming days, following the follow-up of the parties accepted under the process”, it says in the statement.

Yesterday following the break-up of Telekom's contract with Z-Mobile, Kosovo Telecom Chief Executive Chief Bedri Istrefi, said all consumers who exploit Dardafon services ( Z-Mobile) “not to panic”, because in co-operation with the Kosovo Electronic and Post Communications Regulatory Authority (ARKEP) is also working towards the transition phase that will last between 30 and 120 days.
