AAKA Highway exasperates reports between government partners

Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has responded to Prime Minister Abelard Tahiri and Initiative deputy Zafir Berisha over their statements to the Dukagjini Highway. All this because PDK) and Initiative are opposing construction of this highway, Express reports

Haradinaj has said this highway is in the interest of all of Kosovo, not just Dukagjin. For Berisha's warnings that the government is at risk with this venture, Haradinaj has said that whenever parliament makes the decision to go to the polls, it is Kosovo's achieved.

The elections are democracy, they're healthy. Whenever parliament makes a decision about the election, I think it is Kosovo's achieved. Indeed, he is on the right way when he says, "The path is [a means of] growth." But an existing route does not have the function of an extended route - the function of the auto route. They're separate functions, so they distinguish. If the authorship is now made, the transmission remains, because the bag remains for 50 or 100 years, Haradinaj said.

The first of the Government has said that the highway is of other value and that its construction is in the interest of Kosovo. He said he didn't support an expensive price of highway and any cables that could be made of expropriation. They say everyone who does shit is going to jail.

The highway is vital for that area. There are hundreds of thousands of inhabitants, so it's very popular that area, if you take it from Peja, Decani, Gjakova, Rahovec to there. Go to that area, and see how busy it is. That road, any calculation that is economic, so I supported the highway. The highway is an interest of Kosovo, not of Dukagjin”, Haradinaj has said at the media conference.

Otherwise, Social Democrat Initiative deputy Zafir Berisha has said the Dukagjin highway may be the point he shares his party with the AAK.

Berisha has said the idea of building the highway, which is being promoted, is wrong.

The deputy initiative has said it must be an open-type highway, as it emphasises that many businesses are on that road and with the movement of the transfer many of them will go bankrupt. He said the closed type of highway would be opposed to the Parliament.

“This is a project costing over 1 billion euros and should thus be analysed”, he says.

He has said the highway could be the key point that he shares with the AAK.

The government doesn't become famous, the important thing is to save the state. We need to think about citizens. We have other priorities that I think even the prime minister knows”, he says.

According to him, the Government should not insist on building a highway which, according to him, is not much needed.

Even Justice Minister from PDK ranks Abelard Tahiri has said that building this highway is unnecessary.
