Thaci has said dialogue between the two countries is currently in crisis, because the past has left reports between the two very sensitive states.
Thaci has said that now is the current moment to reach agreement between Kosovo and Serbia on normalising the reports.
“Under no circumstances have efforts to make Republika Srska in Kosovo, because it defunct the state. Dialogue is in crisis. Reports between the two states are sensitive because of the past. But also because of the failure to decide for a final agreement between the two countries. I don't see a more convenient moment currently than I see now for reaching the agreement between the two countries. A frozen conflict that can easily melt and have consequences for the two countries. I am grateful to Balkan leaders who have supported these efforts for the” deal, Thaci has said.
On the other hand, he has said it will be very difficult to reach an agreement between the two countries, as this is the process that lasts.
“We are in 200 international organisations, we are recognised by 100 states, but Serbia is continuing the campaign against us. U NESTO have been established by Serbia and Russia. We've had obstacles in Interpol. There have been places that recognize and support. We will not give up in the face of these anti-European actions of Serbia. Neither has the EU managed to convince its states to vote for Kosovo in Interpol. It is a security organization, and we were prevented for membership. Agreement can be reached between Kosovo and Serbia this year. There will be great benefits. Kosovo will be recognised by the five EU states. Kosovo can be part of the UN and part of other international organisations. On the inside we will have economic development. The complete transformation of society in Kosovo could occur. In Kosovo sometimes the votes seem to be attacked by Serbia. I am not a follower of a Kosovo Palestinian journey to international consolidation. I'm realistic.
