PSD: Secret meeting in Berlin, in full opposition to guiding principles of the platform

The Social Democrat Party has reacted after the technical meeting in Berlin, saying that the meeting between Avni Arifi and Marko Djuric -- as a continuation of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, as secret and without any warning or consultation -- is unacceptable and very harmful for political developments in Kosovo and in dialogue with Serbia. [...]
The PSD says that through the resolution on dialogue establishing the State delegation and Law for the Delegation, which sanctions this last of its competencies and responsibilities, the deputies of the Republic Assembly are defined for other forms of decision-making dialogue belonging to the Parliament.
This mechanism for the first time has brought democratic, transparent, and legitimate decision-making decisions to Kosovo in terms of the dialogue process with Serbia, as well as has created mechanisms for political and social concession”, it says in response.
As they do, such secret meetings clash with all the fundamental principles that the delegation represents: that is the nontransparent meeting, away from the eyes of MPs and the public, without any legitimacy.
They say the Assembly has also adopted the state platform for Dialogue, which clearly outlines Kosovo's guiding principles in the dialogue.
There's been no technical and political dialogue, much less the continuation of the kind of dialogue we've had so far. So this meeting, and the eventual topics discussed in it, are in full conflict with the guiding principles of the Platform”, says the report.
According to them, The PSD has intended dialogue with Serbia for the first time to get a dimension of political rationality and democratic legitimacy and to be based on documents and transparent meetings.
So we've proposed that the Assembly should run it. So we have taken Reoluta, the Law, and the Reformation seriously. Because we think this is the only way that Kosovo's interest is protected, and how it is possible to unite political forces and social organisations on such an important issue. Clearly: With the ridicule and inconsistencies of others, with the irresponsible protagonism of the institutional leaders, we have not accomplished anything, and we have suffered a lot. There's no point in continuing the same”, says the response..
