The sentence of Astrit Kapaj, 43, comes after a decade after he started his criminal activity, where he almost robbed two dozen houses in southwest London.

Kapaj, who is originally from Vlora, received the preference as” Wimbledon”'s thief for the way he targeted the wealthy community, regularly traveling from his house to Altricham, Manchester, between the time period of 2008 and February 2019 to steal precious jewelry and parà from the victims.

He was convicted of 21 counts of theft at the Kingston Croa Court earlier this year and one of two counts of attempted theft was for the home of tennis star Boris Becker.

His caution helped him avoid arrest for years, and he would leave a lot of things to avoid suspicion, including one case in which he took 600 pounds from a wallet but left 200 pounds behind.

He stole in such a way that the owners of the houses thought he had lost or spent his own money, and Capaj é who had worked in a chip shop was also careful when he managed to get things like rings and necklaces.

Police could not find a single trace of Kapaj in any of the looted houses, but were later arrested in February after being captured by a security camera.
