Minister Tahiri cut: Illegal wealth will be confiscated without exception

Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri, speaking of amendments to legislation made during his mandate, has said these are the best answers our institutions have given to abusers, offenders, giving a clear message that our country will not tolerate such actions and that [...]
Tahiri took part in the closing meeting of the “Twinisation Project of the formulating of policies and drafting legislation, managed by the EU Office in Kosovo (ZBE) and conducted by the German Foundation for International Co-operation (IRZ), where he said the justice system would not allow citizens' tax abuse.
Minister Tahiri's full statement:
The rule of law is the only option that guarantees clear European perspective for the Republic of Kosovo, and in this direction I am committed and committed to the uncompetitive struggle of negative phenomena that ruin this future for our citizens.
The year 2018 for the Ministry of Justice and for me as minister has been in charge of the legislative agenda in which I have addressed the findings of the Country Report in the past three years, including the Parton of the Laws of the Judicial, the Laws Pack that are related to the fight against organised crime and corruption, such as the Law for Protection of Signals, the package of laws relating to property rights, and other laws where we have received important support from these experts who have worked in this direction and the harmonisation of this legislation with that of the European Union.
These norms are the best response our institutions have given to abusers, offenders, giving them a clear message that our country will not tolerate such actions, that illegally acquired wealth will be confiscated without exception.
However, rule of law still remains a challenge, and this challenge can be addressed through efficient implementation of these laws, which I have seen to be in line with European Union standards.
The goal of the Republic of Kosovo is to be part of the big European family in the future, and for that we engage daily in the framework of the rule of law sector, this legislation is in full co-ordination with European Union legislation.
So the work done for two and a half years by the “Profiling of Policy formulating and the drafting of legislation” in the field of strategic planning, drafting legislation, legal approach and monitoring law enforcement, public relations, and in the process of functional review of the law-rule sector, is vital for modernising justice in Kosovo.
