Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj said this is a special day for the Republic of Kosovo, since the people of Kosovo have historically lived together with the Roma community.
He said that in the past 10 years, Kosovo has noted achievements in the inclusion of the Roma community, where more concrete progress according to him has marked Prizren.
I am very proud that, compared to many countries in Europe, Roma in the Kosovo Assembly have had a very strong voice and are represented at the local and central level. The day of this community is the day of all Kosovo citizens”, he said.
MP from this community Albert Kinoll said that as a Roma community from Kosovo, they should be grateful to the Government for what it has done to date in the community's involvement.
He announced that they are implementing a project that will help boost Roma prosperity, with which 42 houses will be built for them.
“We are proud to be part of Kosovo's top institution, the Parliament, we participate with 5 advisers in different ministries and we have a seat on the negotiating team for talks with Serbia”, he said.
