Shadije Plana-Hott, on April 14, 1999, was left without her two brothers and her husband.
The pain for them was never satisfied, and 20 years later, Hoti feels frustrated about how her most loved ones are being remembered by institutions.
Disgusted are other family members of the massacre victims who did not allow municipal officials to place flower wreaths on the memorial plates.
The municipality, on the 20th anniversary of the massacre at the Kovac Quarter, where the Serbian Army had shot about 30 Albanian civilians, has only surrounded the space where the memorial plates are located and greenened the surrounding environment.
For family members, however, this is unacceptable and similar to a tomb, which adds to their grief.
Moreover, according to them, the municipality failed to fulfill its promise to build an obisk as a sign of commemoration of the victims.
However, flowers on the memorial plaque were allowed only to deploy Bajram Qerkeyni, chairman of the Association of the Undiscovered.
